been talking to a few cummins guys that have had their turbo and manifold ported and cleaned up,(they seen a reduction in boost pressure) they clame quicker spoolup and lower egts(100 degress) from results they have seen after, been told that the duramax stock charger can even have greater results from its design than the cummins, looking to see other members results, and any info they can offer before i try myself, eric and others need your thoughts

Fred, I know that JK has done some work on the intake and exhaust, dunno what kind of gains he picked up though. I think ATS sells a charger that is already ported though. Quicker boost, more of it, and it just bolts on... Its amazing what alittle port job will do:eek: :muahaha:

With the porting....would any other modifications need to be made or would it be a strictly bolt on and go upgrade?

I mean with upgrading to a ported turbo. I noticed ATS doesn't offer much for the Durmax including turbos.

Jeff, ATS has just released a huge turbo kit that is a bolt on (almost) for the mighty Dmax.....
