You actually undid the v-band clap on the back of the turbo, removed the trans dipdtick tube, and replaced the DOWNPIPE? I was unaware that any companys sold exhausts that came with downpipes. I do not have an EGT gauge but I notice when I go on long trips with my 36' 5er my mud flap has melted just a little more. So I do believe it is is helping to keep the EGT's down by having more flow threw it. IMHO Enigma 08-22-2008, 11:04 AM Just an fyi, and I know it doesn't sound right but a 5" system will move your powerband up in the RPM band by quite a bit. Personally I prefer my power around 2000 (stock exhaust, and 4" exhaust range) vs. over 2200 which is where the 5" system put my brother's truck. As for egts the 5" **may** have dropped his egt's 50 degrees below mine but a side by side test is hard ;) However... is system does sound waaaaay meaner than my 4" does. | ||
