I have an 05 LLY and I have been every where looking for the specs on the turbo that it comes out w/ from the factory. I am wanting to put an aftermarket one one but I have no idea how it stacks up to garrets or holset on the pressure maps. Any ideas???? Thanks for the help.

The 04.5+ LLY model engines have a new Garrett Variable Vane Turbo (VVT) similar to the ones on the 6.0L Ford's. I don't know a specific model number for it (yet) or the map specs but someone else may be able to chime in with some information or a link that would help you and I on this matter.
Replacing it would be no small task. It's not going to be as easy to remove and replace as the IHI on the LB7 (which really isn't a small task) since the ECM is looking for it since it now controls the vane position. By removing it and putting a different charger in you would need to be able to fool the ECM into thinking it was there or the truck wouldn't even start.

We need to get TTS working on the fooling the computer thing. I don't think the lly has enough fuel yet to warrant a new turbo though. We need more fuel and a solution for the low rail pressure first.

Or, go simpler and ADD another turbo in a compound configuration.
I can return my DMX back to stock in 3 hours if i so desire.

That would be great too. However I must admidt I haven't had tons of experience in this sort of thing and neither have most of the folks around here that i have talked to. I think if I pointed in the direction that would be a good place to start.
