experience with after market warranty missed window to renew fractoy warranty once over won t renew i have seen prices from $2.000 to$3.400with some kind of bumper to bumper

IF you are looking at GMPP protection plans and are out of the 3yr/36mo initial warranty, they will not sell you a plan. The costs vary depending on how far into that initial warranty you are. The main break point is at 24k miles. I just was researching these.

As far as other "non-GM" extended warranties, I believe you can find some that will cover a truck out of the orig warranty period, but be very careful about being absolutely sure what you are buying and what it will cover. For the kind of $$ you list in your post, you ought to be getting at least and additional 5yr/60k miles give or take some. However, depending upon your current miles, I think all extended warranties companies have some sort of cutoff where they will no longer issue an extended warranty.
