I have a chance to buy a used predator, He says he never used it, said it would not do what he though it would so he never used it. He said he never loaded in his vin#. does the predator do that automatically?? I guess what I'm asking is if he pulled it in one time to his truck, does that mean it needs re-flash before I could use it. Its alittle over a year old, I think I could get it for about $200, what do you think???

LB7 you have to send it back for re-flash. LLY you dont have to. Buy a new one for $339. Best money you could spend.

As long as he did not load one of the tunes you will be fine. If he did load a tune you will have to send it back and for 75s they will unlock the vin#. I was told by blue dot that there will be a new flash ready any day now. They will not charge for the new flash just have to pay shipping. :)

What did he want it to do and how did he find out that it wouldn't? Might answer the vin lock question.
What version is it? You may need to send it back for a "Free" version upgrade anyway.
Hmmm, I wonder if that would reset the vin???

I found out he bought it, thinking he could re-set his odometer. I think i've
decided to pass, used electronics are always scary. probably better to spend alittle more on a new one. Thanks for the input! This place rocks.:ro)
