If you want to here what they sound like do a search on our video section or go to you tube. You tube seems to be the place everybody post up their numerous videos these days.
I will say "I am dave" truck sounds good with his single stack. He also did it himself and on a very low budget!
Wish you luck!

yup. i've got a single 4 inch stack as it was only $35 at a swap meet. it sounds awesome too. from 1600 to 2000 rpm its got a loud roar to it that i love. right now i've got the truck parked until the new injectors come in. i'm starting to get clouds of white smoke on startup. the injectors are due after 167K.

that should give you a general idea of what it would sound like. thats with a mandrel bent 3 inch DP, a 2.5" mandrel crossover, no muffler, no kitty, straight pipe to the stack.

Where did you get yours from? Is it a kit or what?

i work at a peterbilt dealership and mine were damaged takeoffs, so i advise anyone who is looking for stacks to keep in touch with the truck shops, every now and then they throw away a set as for the rest, well i have a piece of 5x5" square tubing for a crossover and just fabbed everything to work

Thanks for all the input fellas. I will keep my eyes and ears open at the local truck shops. I want to do a set of straight cuts with the flapper on them.

would 4" stacks sound better than 5" stacks?

the most you'll really need for these engines is 4" exhaust. i saw an 05 5.9 cummins and an 02 7.3 powerstroke with 7 inch stacks the other day. the stacks were huge, almost to the point of too big. the stacks made the trucks look small. my single 4 inch sounds really good in my opinion.
