I tried downloading EFI's v 7.5.4 today but I can not open the program. I have Vista on my computer is there a special way to load it or another version I am missing.
I wanted to download it to familiarize myself with the tuning process before purchasing.

I don't run vista but you can try this tip from Trippin.

Same thing happen to me last night. I did what this said and it work.

Still a no go. When I try to open it it tells me it "is not Win32 compatible". Whatever that means.

Try deleting it completely outta ur computer than re downloading the program. Maybe it picked up something wrong when downloading first time. I have vist on my laptop and havent had any probs. Yet.

Save the file to your computer, then "right" click the installer and select "run as administrator".

Don't try and do the install from a flash drive.

Once the program is installed "right" click the EFILive tune.exe and select "run as administrator".

8.1, I did try that and got the same results.

Trippin, I tried that earlier and it didn't work. When I did that it said "invalid access to memory location". When I downloaded it, the program installs very quickly. I don't know if that is correct. I think something may be interfering with it.

Perhaps Vista is having an issue with you saving a file that ends in .exe

When you click the "save as" try giving it a .txt extension. then rename it back to an .exe file once it is saved.

The .txt extension helped. I got it to start downloading at least. But then when I checked on it, it had timed out and was unable to download. Dang dial-up internet. I guess I am done trying to download it, I will wait to buy the EFI then play with it.
