I have a friend lookin at a 6.5. Its got 130k miles. How can he tell if the injection pump has been replaced. Mine went out at 119. It woud suck if he bought it and the pump goes out. How can he tell?
Thanks for the input.

Call the vin into GM for the service history. Other than that a scanner that shows Ctimes and and timing could be used to get an idea of functionality.

Safest bet is to buy it, and take it straight to a fuel shop to get an updated reman pump put in, plus whatever else they detemine the truck needs (filters, injectors, supply pump, Wastegate solenoid, etc) and get their warranty on it, so then even if you have problems, you have warranty coverage.
