As the title say I'm looking to make the switch to Amsoil.

My truck doesn't have an owners manual. :(

I would like to know how much oil I need to buy for the 6.6 diesel?
I already plan on buying their filter also.

Plan on doing everything else also, trans and diff., but that will be done once I install a Trango jr kit.

What else should I be looking to get for my 2500HD?

Thnx!

Amsoil recommends their Premium API CJ4 5W-40 synthetic; if you sign up through their web site as a "preferred customer" you can buy their products at 'wholesale'. On another thread somebody said they were paying $100 per oil change; I paid $67.20 for a case. You shouldn't need more than 10 quarts. You can also buy it in 1-gallon bottles.

There are a few Amsoil sponsor here, click the vendors link on the top portion above post reply button if you don't have a distributor yet.

Thanks guys. I have bought the oil and the change is next week.

While the jugs are cheaper I went with the case as I'm going to be swapping the filter a couple of times during this run to get all the old oil out so I'll need the extra.

Didn't want to do the flush thing, messy. :)
