Ok guys not sure where I should post this, but lately I've been have some AC problems. When I turn the AC on the AC comes out nice and cold, however sometimes the passenger side will come out hot. I turn the engine off and back on and then it will come out cold again. Its acting as if the gate/door isnt opening. My truck comes equiped with a dual climate control, and bothsides are set at 60degrees. As anyone ran into this problem with there trucks. Thanks for any help.

Not to highjack the thread-- my A/C went from nice cold air to full heat after I hit a small pothole. Recycled the ignition and all was fine again. Happened twice. Not fun when it is 105 OAT.:)

The actuator isn't working, to open the temperature door. Just had mine repaired by dealer under warranty.

FNG here. I have the same problem. I have taken it to the dealer once aleady. Now I have to take it back. First time they said they reset the module now I have to take it in again not really happy about that. Should I request that they put a new actuator in?

Anyone know where the actuator is located? I'm out of warranty on this one and will need to do it myself.

Bman,
Check out this thread I just read. It tells you where the actuator is located.

I had one go out on my 2000 GMC gasser, same symptoms. They are made cheap as hell, but the one on my gasser lasted 140,000 miles. Let me know and I will see if I can look up where I bought the new one from.

I had this exact problem with my 05 Duramax. You first might try to let a GM tech reprogram the actuators positions. That may buy you some time. More that likely it is the actuator. My passenger actuator finally was replaced for $290. It was out of warranty also. The GM guy that did the repair removed the top of the dash. Good luck!!
