Does anyone know what the black box with a complex set of wires running to it is? It is located on the driver side in the frame rail and is about in the middle of the bed. The reason I ask is that I was putting on new shocks last night and noticed that it was not securely fastened to the frame. I assume the mechanic that put my 5th wheel hitch in neglect to re-attach to the frame. If anyone knows what this box please let me know and if should be securely fastened to the bed rail or if it is OK stuffed in there.

I did a B&W hitch and a Titan tank on one and it might Have some thing to with the factory trailer brake controller.

I thought it might be as well. I just could not believe that the trailer brake system would have this many wires going to it. I just want to make sure what ever it is. It OK to be just stuffed up in the frame rail and not bolted down. It looks like my hitch covers up where it used to be secured.

I Think It For The Camper Wire Group In The Truck. Check You Window Sticker To See If You Have This Option

It is your IBC. The hitch installer should have installed a kit to relocate it on his install. I know Reese makes a kit that costs about $45. I made my own. I wouldn't let it just hang loose in the frame. It might even have to be grounded to work properly.

If you're not sure what it does ... unhook all the electrics and see what stops working. :D:D

Just kidding. Don't try that.
