I have the dual alts on my truck. I think the option code is 8X5 @ $224. I will check my sticker in the morning to be sure.

Yes they do. flhrciblueice is right, the option code is; 8X5. It's available on the LB7 or LLY engine. You will have a hard time finding any trucks on the lot with that option in South Florida for some reason. I had to special order a truck last week because I wanted them. Where in southern Florida are you? I'm in Ft. Lauderdale area.

where are the alternators located with the dual alt option? I may do propane inj down the line and I dont want that to interfere with the second alt. can someone post a pic

I'm having a hard time to to get Dual alts on our trucks.The Dealer keeps telling me its not in the books.. Can some one post there Sticker on this board so i can show this dealer

FWIW, you can even go to the Chevy website
and "build it" on the web. Select the Duramax
engine and the 8X5 option appears - at $224.00
cost.
