Is the 2009 model year 2500HD Duramax engine expected to be essentially the same as the 2008 engine or are there likely to be changes?

2009 should be the same. 2010 will be the next major variation.

Go here:
http://eogld.ecomm.gm.com/NASApp/domestic/vehiclesel.jsp?year=2009&regionID=1&divisionID=1

and click "print book" and then select which flavor of 2009 truck you want from the drop down list. In the new window that pops up click "print model" and then "print"

The document that opens has all option codes and descriptions including all the new stuff for '09.

Have fun! :)

X2, Dmax will be the same until 2010 version with more EPA BS on it. As for the non-engine related stuff, I have no idea.

So no back up camera, I was hoping there was and that it would be backward compatiable...Josh

It's listed for 2009... some models the nav screen is the display for the camera... some models the display is in the rear view mirror... If I remember correctly models with NAV will display on screen, and models without will have a display built in to the rear-view mirror...

Anybody see this...

RPO code 5F4

B20 Bio-Diesel, Capability
(MSRP = $200.00) Provides system capability to utilize biodiesel fuel up
to B20 blend. See dealer and owner manual supplement for details.
Biodiesel used must meet the latest version of the ASTM D 6751
standards for biodiesel.
1 - Requires RPO (LMM) Duramax 6.6L Turbo diesel V8 engine, and a
(FBC) Fleet Bid Center or (FGO) Federal Government Order type. With
**20943 models requires RPO (E63) pickup box.

Who wants to pay $200 to do something you already can do? besides that... I want to know what they are adding to "utilize" the B20 mix...
