What makes the display go dim?
Sometimes when I look at it at night it's bright.. other times it's dim.
I could see if it got dim when my head lights were on but there doesn't seem to be any ryhme or reason to it. I can't figure out what controls it.. Owners manual was no help.

Anybody know?

Last vehicle that I drove with that set-up in it had a sensor in it and if someone behind you had lights that were bright, it would dim everything.

Don't know if that helps or if your problem was during the day or night, but that is what I have dealt with in past experiences.

It just goes dim when it senses it is dark so that it does not blind you. Your stereo does the same thing when your headlamps come on.
