Which one of the four Duramax engines would you guys suggest to make huge power and have few reliability issues? You know, with twin turbos, any internal mods and injectors, etc...
Any and all opinions appreciated...just getting a feel for possible future project.

Imo you cant go wrong with any of them the LB7 seems to have better pistons and you don't have to remove any emissions crap

lly seems to have worked well for mcrat
I think all of them will be just fine if your going to build a motor. By the time you change the rods, pistons and done some other work like dual cp3's and some turbos I don't think there would be differences.
Obviously the earlier gen's are more simple... no egr, dpf, etc. So for building a motor my vote goes to the LB7 or the LLY.
The LBZ seems to be a solid unit for just some bolt on performance though. My bro easily lays down over 400rwhp on an LBZ with only exhaust and tuning. Tranny is still going ... fairly strong haha. No slips yet anyways.
