So my 60,000km warrantyt is about to run out, trans shifts bad into 4th after pulling the trailer for extended periods, just had them replace all 4 rims, cooler lines leaking again.... so..... should I bite the $3000 bullet and buy the extended warranty? Will they cover the trans anyway if they think it's been chipped? It leaves a "loss of power to the ecm" code after I program it back to stock,so they know something is up....and it grinds once in a while when shifting into reverse....don't think autos are sposed to do that....

HAs anyone needed extended warranty? My tranny always works fine when the mech takes it out....

also wondered why the tranny doesn't have the same warranty as the engine since they come together...(?)

I have the GMPP that covers bumper to bumper, and i use it!! I dont have alot of problems with the truck but everytime its in for an LOF i have them check it out. Once the techs know it has GMPP they go right through it looking for problems because it pays well for flat rate time for the repair. I just got a new radio last month and another intermediate steering shaft. This last spring i got new cooler lines and the intermediate shaft. I am thinking of talking them into new shocks here soon, front suspension getting bouncy once in a while.
