I went to Kennedys web site he says to remove it. However he did not say how. I pulled the inner fender, that fender is sealed. By the way this is a 93 2500. There is 1 bolt holding the front of the snorkel I did not see any in the back. The only thing I see to do is to drive the back end of the snorkel down into the fender and leave it. Only thing is it going to rattle? I sure hope you do not have to remove the fender. Thanks Gordon.

I've never done it myself I think if you pull that bolt it comes out toward you, use the search engine I think there was discussion on this last week, and more detailed instruction.

I used the search and they are referring to 96-2000 chev. Mine is a 93. I'll keep looking at threads, hopefully someone will have done it. Gord.

I did it to my 94...I remember removing only 2 or 3 bolts and really having to tug it to pull it through the hole where it connects with the air filter box.

I had to do some digging but just typed in the word snorkel and found what I was referencing in latter part of this thread are comments & pics http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25301&page=2&pp=10&highlight=snorkel

Highlights importance to stay on topic within a thread, if you have a question different than topic at hand start a new thread so we don't have to cover old ground, or so you can search for it later if you want to help somebody out.

As you will see it's easy for a thread to get hijacked, even got caught up in it myself, a lot of good info here intakes, turbos, and snorkels, but unless you were here to read it you would not remember the hidden gems that were in here, search engine may or may not pick it up.

Ok everyone, I got that snorkel out. 1 little bolt is all that holds it. But there is a whole lot of prying and pulling, but it comes out that hole. Took me about an hour but it came out. I can't believe how little air it was getting now it will be about 41/2 to 5in of air coming in. Exhaust system is off just waiting for the 4in to get here. Thanks everyone for the help. Gordon.
