Bored at work and doing some thinking. I'd like to get a new truck and want to get the Dmax but than worry about the fuel prices. I thought for the extra price of the diesel I could put a supercharger on it but than worry wether it will be covered under warranty. Is their a brand GM would be cool with and still warranty the engine? And is their any gain in fuel mileage? Was thinking bout the 6.0 by the way.

ive got the new 6.0 and my im town mileage is 12-13 and hiway is 17-21, i do alot of towing and was looking at front mount turbo asked my dealer if it would void my warranty and they said if the turbo caused a problem like transmission failure, rearend failure and stuff like that it would be voided and not covered

So they were not too overly concerned with motor stuff then? What is better a turbo or supercharger?

I Can't comment on the turbo cause I never had one. But the Magnusson supercharger Kicks AZZ. Hit the Gas, Get the power, if it's installed by a reputable installer they warantee the tranny. I Installed my own, but in 16 months I have never had 1 problem (other than cash for back tires:D)

Supercharger is going to be more. But it is instant power. No spooling of a turbine to worry about.
