I have a 2007 Classic with several front end issues and am wondering if the current body styled trucks have these same problems...

-Intermediate Steering Shaft Clunks
-Power Steering Whines and Groans

They have already replaced the intermediate shaft twice, lubed it, etc. They have also replaced the steering gear box once and it is making noises again...

I am contemplating going to GM and asking for financial assistance if I were to purchase a new model...

Thanks,

JS

My brother-in-law has the same truck with 4x4 with about 6k miles. Not one problem with his truck. I've got an LMM which I assume has the same steering set up and no problems so far. Sounds like you have a problem that the dealer should be able to fix under warrenty.

Thanks for the responses. That answers that... I didn't have any problems until about 15k either... I have been round and round with the dealer, and they don't know what else to do...

Moved to Steering and Suspension! ;) Not an engine specific thread!
