Turbine Doc 03-03-2005, 04:42 PM Following on The "Grinches" request for NJ members, I'll put a header locked at the top so you can list where you are it's in many of our sigs but easier to find a buddy if I put down this thread. Don't post here if you don't want to be contacted by a fellow enthusiast in your area. Post where it is near so we can learn a little geography

Billy...did you hear about the guy from Lawn Guyland that was stranded on Ellis Island? ):h He had been stranded for over ten years. One day he sees an unusual speck on the horizon.
"It's certainly not a ship", he thinks to himself.
As the speck gets closer and closer he begins to rule out the possibilities of a small boat, then even a raft.
Suddenly, emerging from the surf, comes a drop dead gorgeous blonde woman wearing a wet suit and scuba gear.
She approaches the stunned guy and says, "Tell me, how long has it been since you've had a cigarette?"
"Ten years," replies the stunned man.
With that she reaches over and unzips a waterproof pocket on her left sleeve and pulls out a pack of cigarettes.
He takes one, lights it, takes a long drag and says, "Man, oh man! Is that good!!"
"And how long has it been since you've had a sip of bourbon?" she asks him.
Trembling, the guy from Hicksville replies, "Ten years."
She reaches over, unzips her right sleeve, pulls out a flask and hands it to him.
He opens the flask, takes a long swig and says, "WOW, that's absolutely fantastic!"
At this point she starts slowly unzipping the long zipper that runs down the front of her wet suit, looks at the man seductively, and asks, "And how long has it been since you've played around?"
With tears in his eyes, the guy falls to his knees and sobs, "Oh good Lord! Don't tell me you've got golf clubs in there too?"
Billman 03-07-2005, 08:52 PM I've always wondered about those guys from Hicksville.

I used to play a men's fastpitch (or "fastball", as some north of the border folks refer to it) team from there. One time one of Thunder Bay's players broke an arm or a leg (can't recall for sure which), and he refused to go to the hospital till he got back to canada.
Ahhh...the joys of living in the state everyone loves to make fun of. I'm located in central/south Jersey in Hamilton Township. If you must know I live about 5 or 6 miles south of exit 7A. I'm currently diesel-less, but maybe DieselGrinch or Spindrift can help me find a truck. Seriously, PM me sometime, its always cool to talk to someone who is into GM diesels.
For all of you Jersey bashers who think our state is nothing but refineries and landfills, check out www.njpinebarrens.com (http://www.njpinebarrens.com)
