: When will HP tune the other guy's
N.W.Labman 08-09-2008, 11:35 PM OK , I know EFI will never tune a Dodge or Ford . But when will Dodge and Ford get the same tunning we get . Man if I had one of those trucks I'D be pissed that I could not tune like a chevy can . Come on can no one get this done , what's the big deal !!!!!
DURAtotheMAX 08-10-2008, 09:32 AM I dont wish for tuning for them, EFILive is one of the main reasons the dmax's are as competitive as they are on the diesel sled-pulling and drag-racing scene. :D
It gives us a huge advantage.
From what I understand, the cummins ECM is difficult to crack and tune, as-is the new Siemens (ha ha) ECM on the 6.4 ford.

N.W.Labman 08-10-2008, 09:55 AM Good point Ben , I'm looking for a HP comment also .
squirrelmaster 08-19-2008, 05:01 PM They've been working on support for other manufacturers, and I think right now they do have some support for Ford V8-powered gasoline vehicles. I'm not sure if they plan to do the diesels, but they are going after other markets.

foff667 08-19-2008, 07:27 PM We can read most 04+ Ford Diesel pcm's with our current software and are actively taking the files to map out their calibrations as they are a market we plan to hit as well as Cummins.
Both our Standard MPVI & Pro MPVI hardware support both GM & Ford vehicles and will also support Dodge, all with only one interface.
Mapping the calibrations is the most painstaking part of what we do in that we are basically taking the computer gibberish & attempting to put it into a format everyone can understand as well as explanations of what each parameter does. All told each calibration takes 1-5 days to map, some are easier than others but the avg is about 3 days to map out. An extreme example being the V6 lineup we support has some 600+ operating systems we now support, as you can probably imagine that wasn't an overnight project ;)
But yes our goal is to offer an all in one tuning tool so no matter what types of vehicle you have you'll probably have coverage.

N.W.Labman 08-22-2008, 10:45 PM Thanks for that info Bill , that is what I was wanting to here . I know it is a slow work , but when it is done your market share should go through the roof . PM me when you go IPO (J/K) . Good luck with your future .

Rumor: "I'm working on a stand alone conroller for the dodge guys. I hope I have the first prototype running verry sooon" ...:D

Can we at least scan & clear the codes on the dodge diesel? I am looking for a 2001 late model? thanks.

No, similar to how you are limited to scanning only our supported GM & Ford vehicles, Dodge will be the same. Setting up even generic scanning for a different make vehicle is VERY time consuming even for the vehicles we do support for that specific maker.
