Finally got my Autometer UltraLite gauge install finished tonight and took the truck out to check it. On the 65hp tune the truck run about 22-23lbs. boost and on hard excelleration would hit 1300 degrees with stock exhaust. Then I bumped it up to the 100 hp tune and ran it again. Spike on boost was 26-27 lbs. boost and I pegged the pyro at 1600 degrees fairly easily! The thermocoupler was installed by the Hoot Method - worked out well. How do these numbers sound? I know most are scared to even run the 85 and 100 hp tunes for fear of the tranny and egts. Have no fear!!!:naughty:

sounds about exactly like my truck with the 65hp tune. I have a buddy who was running the 40hp "TOW" tune and pulling a gooseneck with an 04 dodge cummins on it and it ran pretty much at 1200 constant. When we would come to any type of hill... 1400 degrees.

The EGT's are much higher than mine but I have an after-market exhaust. I run the 65hp tune and see EGT's around 800-900. Boost is between 25-30. Normal driving 60-65 mph see's the EGT's around 500.

You found me!!! Yes, that's my "wife" always parked in front of the store so I can keep an eye on it when I'm working.

Where and how did you install the EGT probe and where did you install the boost gauge. I just ordered my auometer gauges, the Ultra Light, and wanted to see where people have been putting the sensors. Are the autometer gauges complete to install or did you need any other items.

Which Boost guage does everyone use? The vac portion on the gauges are useless to us correct?

I like the look of the Cobalt 30psi boost gauge too bad they don't offer a pyrometer.

EGT's on mine (at WOT) peg the Attitude alarm at 1350 with the Edge at zero and no pred. tune. As I turn up the hp it's easier to hit the 1350deg. I used the Hoot method to install mine. I haven't gotten the max boost alarm yet.

I installed the boost into the "super diesel" inline LLY manifold (do a search if necessary) and the egt probe into the passenger exhaust manifold. Do a search on "hoot method" for his install directions in the 'do it yourself' section of this forum.

I used the Autometer Pro Comp Ultra Lite gauges. 0-60# boost gauge, and 0-1,600 degree pyrometer, two pod full pillar mount. On a sidenote: full pillar mount is a biatch!!! It would've been fine if it replaced the whole pillar but it just covers the OE one instead.

I'm seeing 27psi for boost and that's stock.

You have any pics of the install points. I was told by extreme diesel to use the t- fitting for the boost. That would be fine if I could find a vacum line.....

What year is your truck? The LLY motor doesn't run a vacum line.
