: Fingered/Blocker plate, Now Engine Light
Pannell 08-07-2008, 06:08 AM This past weekend I Fingered and Blocked and also removed the K&N CAI and cut a big hole in the bottom of my stock air box, removed the mounting plate for the air box and made a bracket to get more air, now have a engine light. Any guesses to why? Thanks
CHEVYJEFF 08-07-2008, 07:46 AM codes?
lotsofmiles 08-07-2008, 08:39 AM what codes do you get?
I did the finger stick and plate, took it for test drive, everything was fine. next day hooked to camper and drive about 500 miles. throwin codes almost the whole trip, too much air flow, forgot the number. called/emailed sales and maker of products, no help or support at all. on the return trip home it cleared up no codes since and its been 3000-4000 miles. don't know if it took mine a while to recognize it or so many key cycles to work or what.
marc23760 08-07-2008, 08:44 AM codes?
x2 go to your local auto zone and they will scan it for free.
Pannell 08-07-2008, 09:09 AM ok will go to Auto Zone tomor and see what the code is and will report then. Thanks
Pannell 08-07-2008, 06:41 PM Engine light went off, must be use to all the new air.:D
PoPsRacing 08-07-2008, 07:24 PM You'll still have a code stored, I'd check it to see what it was. The light might come back on.

X2, sometimes after enough key cycles the light may go off (depending on the code), I'd get the code pulled so you know whats being affected, probably not a big deal though.

That was pretty good, I didn't even name names....
It was first part of June. Sent a pm thru here and an email. I was clearing the code every 5-10 min and getting very irritated. Drove MI to TN. After we got to TN, around Nashville, and since it hasn't come back.
You think it was needing so many key cycles or something??
I have another issue with a gas vehicle I think you could help me with too, but I held off because I didn't know how to get a hold of you.
Sorry for straying, back on this thread...

oops, guess I did call it a finger stick. Sorry I was trying not to name names just in case it was an email glitch. Didn't mean to bad mouth your product. It is working now.
