Went and picked my truck up yesterday from the shop after getting the guages installed and it ran great the rest of the day. Today when i start it up it is fine but about ten minutes down the road i notice sort of a raspy sound? I made it to where i was giong and there was a sort of squeek click sound coming from around here when i opened the hood, and when it give it gas i'm assuming that it's just makin it do it faster, making the sound that i heard while driving?

I'm thinking great metal shavings run through my turbo or somethin. But it still builds plenty of boost (27-29psi)? Get my stuff finished and head back home and have the same sound. Get to the house and pop the hood and the clicking is gone? It sounds fine at idle and is running fine i just don't want something to go bad. The sound is not loud at all i have to open the hood to hear it and to anyone that didn't know what it sounded like before you couldn't hear it at all probably i'm just being a little anal i guess.

I wonder if your resonator is ckacked. Go to Home Depot an get a 2" plumbers plug. Take the resonator off and install the plug in the hole that's in the mouthpiece. Lock the wing nut on the plug with another 5/16 nut. You can put the resonator back on right over the plug if you like.

Still doing it with it being more of a clicking sound i'm wondering if my injector is going bad? Listened a little more and still in that general area but more around to where the arrow is pointing. Any other oppinions?

That's likely your problem... give it diesel.
:coolnana::crazy:
Pops is right - I'd think about blocking your resonator, just in case.

There's no injectors where the arrow is pointing. Take the res. off, unhook the PCV and intake connection from the mouthpiece and remove the mouthpiece so you can see the turbo vanes. Maybe something is rubbing on the turbo impeller. Spin the turbo by hand and see if you here the noise. Re-route that PCV connection when you reassemble.

Down in there's where your turbo lives.

Lol maybe i need to re-draw my arrow. I know where the turbo is located. Point is based on the clicking could it be an injector going bad?

Not many injector problems with LLY's. #7 cylinder is passenger side rear, pick it and see if that helps. Maybe your egr blocker plate is leaking?

It's a possibility. I think my problems are getting worse. The turbo has started barking (i think that's what its doin). Is this from blocking my res or something i should be concerned about? I'm going to check all of my boots tomorrow to make sure nothings loose and causing issues.
