Last night I had a little extra time so I thought it would be a good idea to shred some weeds around my pivots to clean it up a little bit. I was shredding in a ditch that I knew was soft, but thought it would get ok?? Guess not! Backed up just fine, but when I went to pull out, it just suck to the frame. The 3-point doesn't lift real high on that tractor either so the shredder was dragging on the ground pretty good. Called my brother and he brought the 8300 down to pull me out. Did the job just fine.
Thought I would share some pics I took with my phone while I waited for a pull!

The 8300 has front wheel assist and duals, plus a 60hp chip of course, so it did the job just fine. Didn't even spin the tires.

It was a nightly job of mine pulling my FiL out, he was mowing waterways w/ the 4430. I ended up using the 650G to pull him out, four nights in a row.

No Kyle, your not the only one. My brother burried that same tractor twice already this summer shredding weeds. He said the same thing, "least I'm not the only one." Dad likes to keep things looking nice around the fields so we try to get all we can. Guess I went a little too far!!!:D
Actually, those two pivots farm pretty nice. It's the second year with them. We bought them last spring and developed them. It should be a good test for the new 9760 STS and 12 row corn head!!!!!

Long time ago, when I was very little, dad told me a story about why the semi has a big tag on the rear frame of the trailer that says, DO NOT TOW.
Some guy buried the thing in the field one time during sugar beet harvest. He had it about half way up the belly tanks! They hooked the 6030, 4440, and 4630 in series to try to get enough traction to pull him out. They had the BIG tow rope hooked from the 6030 to the rear frame of the trailer. Dad was in the 6030. He said that he watched that rope go from about 8" in diameter down to about 2". He said that he was pretty much laying on the floor of the tractor when he heard a SNAP! He thought the rope broke. They shut everything down and got out to find the rope. The rope was there, but the huge crossmember of the frame wasn't! That was laying way out in the field in front of all the other tractors! The welds finally gave way and slingshotted that massive piece of steel across the field!
Dad is thankful that no one died that day! The semi sat in the field until it froze and they were able to chip it out and get it out that way.
