Sometimes when I park my truck and get out I smell something like oil burning. I looked under the hood, on the ground, and still can't find the source. Any ideas?

Str8 Eight 03-02-2005, 09:00 PM There is a vent tube on the front of the engine, that is where the smell comes from. Depending on what oil you use the smell will either be more or less. I've run across it a few times,look at the caliper mounting braket, it'll possibly be coated with oilly goo.
