I tried this but couldn't get them to come apart, any suggestions, maybe heat?

Heat will be ur friend in that mod.. ;)

i did my old ones by putting them in the oven w/ it on low for about 5 min. or if you have a heat gun that'll work too.

I will give it a shot with the hair dryer, thats all i have access to...

I did this on my truck. The trick is to use a razor blade and start on the rounded side of the light and cut away at the sealent, slowly working your way around the light. When done this way it should take you no more than 15 min per light.

I'm going to try it right now, I'll post my results when I'm done.

yea the key was definitely heat, did the first one in about 15 minutes because i was afraid of melting the plastic, but on the second one i just went to town with the propane torch and had it don in less then 5 minutes.
