Ok, I just received my new fuel filte<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:PersonName>rs</st1:PersonName> from OilGuard, I ordered 6 and only got 3, but I will call them tomorrow on that. My question is how do I know if I got the new double filter or just some left over old ones. I have one old one from about a year ago and it has the same PK50143 number on the plastic covering. They look exactly the same in every way.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

What is the brand on the filter? Is it Racor, AC or ? I would have o look to tell you for sure but if you look in the end where the WIF goes, the silver end cap has a ridge in it. Their was a picture of one posted here somewhere.

The old style Racor number is INF-4598

The new style Racor number (double pleat) is PFF-5544

This is a copy and paste from the Oilguard website:

Racor PFF-5544 DuraMax Fuel Filter
Fits 2001 and up, replaces the INF-4598

The bag has PK50143 number on it and really doesn’t correlate to anything. I believe it is a Racor. I will do a search for the filter pics, but a link would be great.

Ok, I found the link with the pics of the single ring and the double ring. Hope this is the way to tell them a part.

Ok, sounds like they shipped the wrong filters, and will be sending out new ones.
