Ok here goes.....my list of experiments......give your opinions.

Took a stock truck and added 285x16 tires and 4 mbrp exhaust no kitty. Drove it 1000 miles... no codes.

Then I added a juice/ attitude for power and a power pup for tire correction. Started throwing 0299,0401,0404. Don't know why I got the 0299 but the 0401, 0404 probably came from the exhaust.

So as a trial thing I ran the truck again with the juice/attitude &power pup removed....no codes. Then I tried the power pup on its own.... got the 0299,0401,0404 again. Then I took the power pup off and tried just the juice....No codes empty(not towing) for about 500 miles.

Then with just the juice installed I took my 4 sled snowmobile trailer and 4 sleds (7000 lbs) on a couple hour trip. About a hour into the trip the SES light came back on. Now I got 0299,0401,0404,1226,1229,1238,1241.

HOLY CRAP:help: ...... I had a LB7 and never had a code with these mods. that is why I did it again. Whats going wrong?

Anyway I cleared them trying to get some ideas and look for problems.....I don't have a mod friendly dealer, would like to correct myself if possible. Otherwise it looks like I'll be taking the mods off and sending it back for warranty?

does anyone know if the 0401 and 0404 codes diminish performance, or is it just a code tripped by the computer? I have 04.5 with connected egr, no cat, stock exhaust with no muffler, and Juice/Attitude. These are the codes that I continue to get. Am I hurting anything or is there a potential loss of performance? What really is going on....Anybody....

welcome to EGR heaven!!! You will need to get the EGR block plate and the finger sticks if you are going to run those mods. The LB7 had zero emissions controls, but the LLY has emissions coming out of its ears in preparation for 07 standards.

the 299 code is low boost error, the 40x ones are EGR, not sure about the 1226 ones and so on... half of the codes are just for EGR.

I don't know about performance, but I beleive they have something to do with EGR flow and reduced backpressure due to no kitty.

as far as I know it doesn't hurt performance. Its just the EGR not detecting enough back pressure because of the open exhaust. The codes have to be tripped many times in the computer for it to turn on the SES light. Most just clear the codes out each time. Others get the finger sticks to hide these codes from the computer. You probably also need to get the block off plate and finger sticks.

with codes like that, i would try to not run the power pup and the edge. for some reason you are getting those from them. It may be more the edge as it does some funky things in cold weather. you can read up on it. you can search the word edge and read many stories.

As far as the egr codes go, you may want to consider the finger stick to eliminate the codes from coming about with the mods. You might want to seriously consider the egr blocker plate as the soot buildup in the intake is alot. makes the intake seem like an exhaust. there is a thread going on egr soot friend or foe. read it and look at the pictures. you'll see for yourself.

1226, 1229, 1238, 1241 are all injector circuit codes. The FICM doesn't like the voltages that it is seeing on 4 of your injector circuits. P1226 is a circuit condition on injector #2, P1229 is for #3, P1238 is for injector #6, and P1241 is for injector #7. These codes don't turn on the SES light.

Is it possible that the connectors on some of your mods were not completely connected for a key cycle? The circuit condition only needs to exist for a fraction of a second to set these codes...clear them and see if they come back immediately after running the engine.

Also try tying the Edge to the Radiator hose with zip ties. Some people have been doing this in the cold weather. Seems to help with the Edge not being as buggy in the cold.
