Of course if you want to add tons of horse power by the most simplest means necessary, you will buy a programmer for your truck. The immediate Pros that you will experience from your purchase of this evil pleasure, is the instant gratification of extreme power. Let’s face it, depending on how much you’re willing to spend. Programmers can add horsepower in the ranges anywhere between 40 hp to 225 hp (and I’m sure there are some that do more!) Adding that to your (already 300 hp truck) can really add up. Unfortunately, all this power can turn your Allison trans into scrap if you’re not careful.
So my question is for those who have been down the road of (programmer induced) transmission damnation, or know the dangers of dabbling with the awesome power presented to us in a computer chip.
What is the maximum amount of power that we can ADD to our trucks without damaging our transmissions. These answer apply to stock transmissions only and the power must come from tuner/programmers.
Thanks you I hope to get a lot of feedback.:D
