Buddy of mine has a 01 Lb7 and just put the standard PPE Xcellerator on his truck. On any of the settings besides stock the truck is a complete dog on the bottom end. It does really want to go anywhere or rev and take off like it should. Its not the trans slipping or anything. Does the LB7 has a FPRV like the LLY and up?? He changed his Fuel Filter about 1000 miles ago.. So far no DTC's. The truck feels like it KINDA starts to take off at abot 50mph but not like it should..

Return the chip to stock and then try re-installing it again.

If that don't work call up PPE and send it back to them so they can fix it.

The chip works, I downloaded it on my 04.5 LLY and it worked.. I think he may have a fueling problem? We changed his fuel filter.. It got a little better but not much. The truck is a complete dog til about 40-50mph then it starts running pretty good but not as good as it should.. What yall think??

Also it took like 10 minutes to load the ppe up on my LLY. But it only takes like 2 mins to load it on his truck.. That sound right?? I got a communication error one time trying to load it on the lb7 and then I unplugged it and tried it again and it loaded. But it loads fast on the lb7. Way faster then loading it on my truck

Return the truck to stock. Call PPE Tech Support and hve them help out. The timing and fuel curves might not be properly installed on the hand held for the LB7. Like someone said before, return to stock and try to reload it. If that doesn't work, do as I said and call PPE. The support is top notch!

These truck don't have a factor lift pump do they? Is it possible the truck factory fuel system is not keeping up?

i used the ppe to check for codes and none were present...

The PPE couldnt show me the P1093 and P1094 codes when my injector pump was bad............................................... .......................thats why I used my brothers scanner

I put the PPE standard on my dually about 2 months ago and it doesnt really have a bottom end pulling power either. Mine is a 6 speed and you have to get the RPMS up to around 2000 before she really gets going. I was told that my turbo was not going to give me much more than that nad the only way to get it any better woruld be to by a bigger turbo.

Mine also loads slow sometimes and also gets a communication error. Most of the time it is if i havent changed my program in a while and it looses communication.

a buddy of mine has the ATS epower......People claim its the "exact same" as the ppe tuners but who knows....he was getting communication errors and his truck wouldnt start after trying to install a tune. We screwed around and screwed around with it untill finally I realized his radio was on but the volume was all the way down and his A/C was on but all the way down (Not used to the 03 interior). We turned all the crap off and the tuner worked perfectly because there wasnt a bunch of crap interfering with the computer.. Both of the PPE tuners Ive owned work great. Did you ever get a scanner yet to check for codes?

Went and had GM put a reflash on his truck with the latest software I guess they used. Everything works great now... Doesn't smoke much though but hauls
