Took the truck in for a few warranty items, and decided to run it in with minimal BD in the tank. Maybe it was B2 or something......

Anyway, I really noticed a difference in lack of smoothness, and a lot of smell on regular diesel. I guess I blended up to B25 or so slowly, and didnt notice the big difference.......until now.

Adding Biodiesel as soon as she comes back from the dealership............

I did the exact same thing...warranty work....filled up ULSD(without additives) at ARCO.

I swore something was wrong. BD makes that much of a difference.

At these prices I am moving up to B50.

What are you paying for B100?

Do you blend it yourself or what?

When I called, IWP was not licensed to sell biodiesel. They only make it. lee escher oil co. is across the street from them, so leoco sells the stuff IWP makes......

I dont remember who I spoke to, but I dont think it was gary.

Imperial or supreme biotane?

I know its been said before, but Ill say it again......

I had perodically checked my balance rates before BD. Ive been lazy lately, and just been filling up out of the BD container. Its on ~B50. I checked the balance rates today, and 7/8 were +-2. I had #7 at 3. All much lower than on petrol diesel.

Im making a trip soon, and will be forced to run on the crap diesel, so Ill look again..........

She just runs better as the blend goes up.................http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/rockon.gifhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/rockon.gif

Have you considered taking a few jugs along with you?
Last out of state trip, I had the back loaded with a few jugs of BD. Also planned the stops around the open times of BD dealers along the way. Made a real difference in soot levels.

Ya, I just might do that........I just wont have much room in the bed for 5g containers.

I guess Ill just have to start the trip on a high BD blend......bummer
