I have the factory HU in my truck. I have Onstar and the Bose system. I was driving down the road and the radio went completely off just like you pulled the battery cable. It stayed off for about 10 seconds, and when it came back on I had to reset all of my stations and clock. Ever since then the CD player will not work. The little light on the display showing there is a CD in the unit is not even lit up and I know there is a CD in there.

I have a Kenwood head unit from another vehicle that I could put in there but was wondering which would be more cost effective. Try to get my factory unit fixed, or buying the adapters I would need for the KW head unit?

And which adapters would I need since I have the Bose AND onstar, AND steering wheel controls?? Thanks in advance guys.
