This may need to be moved over to "ask the techs", but I figured this was a good place for it. Another member here put a 05' grill/hood on his 03', so I am curious... can I put an 02' grill and hood on my 04'?

I imagine the problem with this would be different front quarter panels that would not match up with an 02 hood, or possibly a chassis design change on the 04 models that would not match up with an 02'. I have no idea on this and thought maybe someone with more experience with the two trucks would be able to provide a good answer. Another question, would I have to get an 02' bumper also, or could I use my existing 04' bumper?

I love the look of the 01' and 02' HD's front end and believe it would be a great front end mod. Thanks for the replies in advance!

You would need: Hood, 2 fenders, 2 headlamps, 2 park lamps, grille, 2 buckets, core support, hood latch, bumper, fascia, air dam, oh, and the most important part... a new frame, as the bumper mounts are changed after 02.... Prolly not worth it, and your resale would take a dive too as you just made the truck appear 2 years older.

Thanks for the reply, sounds like too much work! I've never seen an 01 or 02 up close, so I was not sure what would be involved... I think I'll stick with gettin the 05' hood and grille!

they needed refined and chevy went the wrong way as far as i was concerned. more sleak and less cateye. i love the refined gmc. still need a tweek but it is a lot better than the counter part. just my .02 but i like the chrome grill if it were only the entire thing rather than to parts .... i am not sure what happened there....oh well (still the best truck out there) :)
