Went to my stealer today to get some info on ordering a 2005 duramax and was told it would be ten to twelve weeks. Does this sound like the truth or am I getting the old stroke job. From the stealer? he said the diesels were taking longer than the gas trucks.

Will the rain ever stop here in what is supposed to be sunny So Cal. 36 inches so far.

That's about right. I waited 12 weeks for my truck.

i just left my dealer today and they said 12 weeks also

Ordered mine on September 16th. Truck arrived October 28th and took delivery on November 3rd. So mine took almost 8 weeks.

Ordered mine Oct 21 and took delivery Dec 12. Merry X-mas to me.

I had a '00 crew cab that I had ordered that I traded for my Dmax, it took 6 months!

Ordered mine January 03,2005 and took delivery February 16,2005 ,6 weeks

Parents picked mine up straight from the lot...delivered it christmas day. So it took about ohhh 1 day. Got a pretty good deal on it too.

ordered mine in early october. came in day before thanksgiving. it was 6 1/2 weeks. dealer told me 6-8 weeks

My wife ordered hers' on February 7th and they just called and said it should be here by March 7th.

Why order it? Unless you want an odd set up there should be one on the lot. I was going to order one by the end of March - pretty much the cut off date to get an 05. Then GMAC dropped the intrest rate to 0% for 60months - must take delivery by 4/1. That's free money. I looked around and found exactly (almost- only thing it didn't have was the on/off road tires; easy to remedy) what I wanted. Found an 05 GMC Silverado EC D/A SLT 4x4 Loaded. Actually they had 8 D/A's most were loaded. It was at a dealer two towns from the one I wanted to buy it from. So I had them swap one they had for the one I wanted - no problem. If it was a problem I would of bought it where it was.

Ordered mine Jan. 10, 05, Howard just told me today that it is on a truck and should be here either tomorrow or Friday. The 05 Crew Cab Duramax short box was built last week. Its going to be just short of eight weeks. Or full 8 weeks Monday March 7.

Ordered mine 1-22-05 and still 3-4 weeks out, they origionally told me 6-8 but looks more like 8-10 weeks.

My 05 arrived at the dealership this afternoon just short of 8 weeks. But I live in Michigan and they built the truck in Flint, maybe 150 miles to get it to me. Pick it up tomorrow night.

I think a lot depends on what allocations your dealer has. I also wanted to take advantage of the " free " money so I ordered on 2/24/05 with a TPW of 3/14/05. Delivery to dealer varies, but the last Dmax came in 5 days after production. Friend of mine ordered single wheel 3500 CC on the same day and it was built yesterday. Both of these trucks were allocated so I think that speeds them up.

They told me 3 months and i got it 3 months plus one day later. Well worth the wait

Ordered right b4 Thanksgiving, and picked it up Xmas eve day. Probably depends on which cab you want to get. CC's only come from Flint.

Ordered on 02/16/05 was told 4 to 6 weeks - called yesterday to see if he had a VIN yet and he said to call back end of March. My understanding is when they produce a VIN the truck follows in about two weeks so if that is correct then it will be about 8 weeks ... Hope this helps.

They produce a VIN when the truck is built.

as said before-depends on what you are ordering-put my order in mid may-delivered july 6th-3500 srw are only made a certain time on the prodution line-just like all the rest,they cannot make all trucks every day-jmo-michael...btw it was worth the wait...love my truck!!!.......
