just installed my predator today on the 85 hp tune. drove it for about 60 miles or so and the tranny seems to be getting better and better, so far I love this thing. question is, what, if anything, did you adjust your speed limiter to? is the speed limiter essentially the same thing as a governour? I assume it is.
thanks

The computer defuels when you reach a certain speed so you won't go any faster. The predator changes the defueling point to what you want it to be. Same affect as a governor.

and you can change that defueling point to wherever (within reason) you prefer, no? where did you set yours to?

As I recall, you can set it anywhere from 95? to 120....
In typical redneck fashion, I of course went directly to 120 ):h
Bear in mind, the speed limiter isn't there just to keep your from speeding, it's also to protect yourself from....well, yourself....The tires that come for these trucks from the factory aren't speed rated over 100mph..

i will likely follow suit and peg it to 120. I doubt however that I will ever go above 100 unless its on a super long dragstrip. Ok I might go over 100 a few times but rarely. Ok I will buy better tires and go over 100 now and again.

Fastest Ive ever gone was 158 (speedo reading) in my mothers audi TT, it was fast and fun and man at those speeds you can really feel EVERYTHING on the road. Dont automatically assume I am wreckless and dangerous to myself and others. I know there is a time and a place for everything and it is choice that has to be made wisely and maturely.

I kept mine at 95. I have stock tires.

If I wanna raise my speed limiter but don't wanna load a tune becasue I am running another box can this be done?

How?

You can use the "modify stock tune" option and it can adjust for tire size and speed limiter and gear ratio without adding power. Seems a shame though to not add a little:muahaha:

nar,

Thanks. If I modify the stock tune, do I have to rest those parametes if I ever wanna go back to stock stock? Or can I just reload stock tune and it will resotr the modified stock tune to the original stock tune.

No power from the Predator, the JK VA200 box gives me all I want (for now).

I think it would just restore the original, since when it loaded the modified stock it considers that a tune too.
