Ok, we have a "build week" datehttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif. IF they start on Monday how many work days does it take to build a 2500HD, CC, 4X4, D/A?

Also how long will the plant be shut down for the holidays? Starting when?

I read some where here that they will first use up the pre=LLys first in the CrewCab which is what I am trying to order. Is that significant to us ordering?

The official GM holiday is Dec.24 til Jan.4.

I don't know about the assembly plants but we are working Dec.26-30 and Jan.2-4.

I hope the plant workers don't drink too much over the holidays, I have a TPW of 1/5/04.

November 10, 2003 seems like years ago. My TPW was last week, 12-8-03 and I haven't heard a thing from my dealer! Wonder if my truck got built last week or does it take longer?http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif Will I be getting the new engine?http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif

This wait is like wishing your life away, will I ever get my truck?

I received an email from Howard this morning saying my truck has been shippedhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gifhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif. If all goes well I may be driving it on Christmas Dayhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif.

What a great suprisehttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gifhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gifhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif

HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE

Tim: Naw. I'll have to take my chances..... couldn't survive this wait again!!!!

Congrats!!! Capt. Charlie. I't's good to see they were pretty much on target with your TPW, gives me hope. Looks like you'll get the extra 1K rebate! Hope they renew rebates long enough to cover mine. Also would be great if they continued the GM in the driveway program. I really don't need this truck till spring when I'm buying a new 5th wheel, but this wait could kill : ) especially not knowing what the incentives will be when my truck actually arrives.

Seasons Greetings to all !

Hi Everyone.

Ordered my 04 duramax C.C. on 10 31 03. Build date was week of Dec. 8th. Truck shipped on 12 13 03. According to V.I.N.# that I have and the eithth digit being a 1 tells me that I am getting the LB7. According to Zeeb a 2 here indicates an LLY. The truck will be suimmit white. Good timing for Xmas.

Good Luck and Merry Christmas all.

Tim, you may be getting my trucks twin. My TBW was 8 Dec. and Howard said it was shipped 12-14http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gifhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif. I should have it before Christmas.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

Well I called the dealer and when he ordered he ordered my GMC and a Chevy same specs.

The Chevy is coming in but the Vin # is an LB7 and the GMC hasn't gotten a TPW yet. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif

I called Chevy and they said it was built on 12-11 and still got LB7.

So He said to wait til it comes in and decide then if I want it.

I don't know if I can stand that ugly Chevy front end in my garage again (just recently got over the nightmares from the last 03). http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

Plus don't have my LLY http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Evil Smile.gifEdited by: Dmax Tim

Although the LB7 has been known to have problems, it has been on the market for some years and a fix has been found for the problems identified. The LLY is basically the same engine with some changes which may result in new problems in which fixes will not be available until the problem occurs, most likely.Edited by: Capt. Charlie

This seems to be as good as any place to ask this question:

What is it going to take for GM to roll off the production line a new Yukon XL (2500HD) 4x4 with the Duramax Diesel engine??

I've been waiting. waiting...
