My 93 mechanical injection 6.5 has 267000 miles on it and has been bone stock since new. I pull more with it and would like to put a turbo master on it and more fuel to it as suggested on here. Will it handle it? I will add guages for pyro and boost and prob. trans temp. but I'm still not sure. It runs great andi want to keep it that way but if I can get a litle more out of it loaded it would be nice.

Preformance? Is that what happens before you turn the key?

Turn the fuel up and add a spring to your existing wastegate

Put on the boost and pyro gauges (first) and have at it. Trans temp is nice too if you're hauling much, but the other 2 are way better than just a good idea before you start fooling with fuel and boost.

My '93 had 205,000 miles when i turned up the fuel and increased boost, no problems thus far and that was a year ago. I turned it up 1/4 total, and bumped the boost to 11psi max with more spring pressure.

First I would get rid of the factory air intake snorckle located in the fender first, then put on a complete 3.5 or 4 inche exhaust, put on a turbo master as well, if your truck is like mine I was only getting 4psi boost from factory, like Daustin said no problem going up to 10 to 12 psi. Doing these mod will help it pull higher rpms without high egts and engine water temps. not to mention lots of extra hp.
