OK I'm gonna ask the stupid question: what are ya'll talking about when you say LB7 or LLY? What is the difference? I tried a search first with no answer so I'm at ya'll's mercey, have at me:confused:

LB7 = January something 2004 and earlier LLY = January something 2004 and recent Basically the same engine, just different turbo, injector location, emissions stuff, and other technical things. For us, all we need to know is that there are more goodies for the LB7 and it is claimed to get much better mileage than the LLY. LLY has a new VVT turbo which is showing much promise, and goodies are still being developed for it.
