My truck has been into the dealer all week because it posted a DTC #335 crankshaft position sensor code and would not start. I talked to the mechanic today and he said there was no loctite on the bolts holding the reluctor ring and they fell out into the oil pan. He has to drop both upper and lower pans requiring the tranny to be dropped to get at 2 bolts for the upper pan. This is a big job - has anyone else had this problem? I don't see much posted for this. Too many problems with these engines. Is there anyone with no problems with these engines are they just junk?

i have not had one problem with the engine except for injectors this first time as we speak are getting fixed. i have 195,000 miles on this engine.Starter once was replaced.I dont think its common for the ring
