I am all of the sudden getting black smoke, and no power from take off. Bone stock 2500HD 14,000 miles, except, K&N, and edge/***. This is happening on level 1. Also what are all of you running for the best fuel economy, for everyday driving. And one more thing I changed the oil and filters (fuel and oil) yesterday, and this happend about 80 miles later. I wouldn't consider the edge/Atitude on the truck as "bone stock" sorry can't help ya though.

Back the edge down to stock and maybe even better, unplug it and put the connectors back to stock and see if it still does it.

I had same problem, but I had stage 2 tube popping out of the rubber boot. Happened twice and finally put stock tube back on. When this happened, straight air was being sucked in turbo because the tube separated 1/2 inch. No MAF signal and fuel mix goes haywire. Stock tube stays intact. I think the tube on the AFE stage 2 I have isnt bent right.
Other than that i run level 2 on a regular basis and turn propane on for fun.

i second removing the edge to see if it still has the issues. after reading all the issues with the edge that owners were having. i would do that first.

Check all of the boots on the turbo and make sure they are tight. (IE: the rubber thingys coming off the turbo.) Also...if the fuel filter was changed make sure they didn't knock the air tube coming from the air box loose.....that would give you a similar problem as what hotrent1 described.
