Going to replace the engine mounts, not digging the helper rev engine trick so I'm gonna cherry pick. Where do I attach it?
Someone said I need a bracket for the back?
Thanks

When I pulled mine I just used a chain with a bolt and a washer through a link in the chain. Because the left and right heads are the same, there are bolt holes in the rear of the heads which are identical to the ones in the front of the heads. You just gotta feel around for them.

There will/should be 2 lift brackets on the engine, one at the front of the driver side head and one at the rear of the passenger side head.

I bought my truck with about 200K miles on it, and in my case some lazy mechanic lost or left off the rear lift bracket at some point in the truck's life.

I can't get my hands on a picker....so I'm gonna jack from the bottom. I'm thinking a hard piece of 2x4 or 2x6 on the jack plate and get as much weight distributed evenly over the oil pan.
Any tips?
