Jim Bigley typed in an article about the Durmax plant in Ohio, that each engine is tested for 10 mins. The engine is artificially warmed up for 2 min. Then run at rated power and held there for 6 mins. while different systems performance is checked. Then the final 2 mins. at idle an operator checks for leaks or noises. The engine is then shipped complete with injection system either flywheel or flexplate and all engine electronics.

6 minutes! Doesn't seem like very long?

It will get quite a bit more run time on the GM assembly line. The rings will be seated by the time you drive it. Later! Frank
