I have been on this forum for a while, live in the Portland area, and have seen your question posted by others. So far no one has given a good suggestion for a dealer in our area. Sorry!

I'll tell ya what you two go find a good shop and let us know...you live there):h

I am 150 miles away and have a couple good ones I think, Ghilcrest Chevy for a dealer is awesome!

And there is a diesel shop on Puyallup Way down by the Tacoma dome that is excellent but not Duramax Certified so not sure I'll let'm touch it:confused: But he does work on his 01 so maybe:badidea:

You might PM Max Payne - he is in Southern Oregon, but he seems knowledgeable enough that it would be worth the trip.

Thanks for the replies about Carr, they did the service before I purchased it. Actually bought if from the sister company Carr Subaru. Even though I am only 2 miles from them I won't go there (nice new lot though!). Any info on DSU Peterbilt & GMC Truck on Swan Island?

If you are up for a 4 hour drive to Dreadford, I'm ready. Of course, that is about $700 in fuel these days...

TopHog & Patrick, What is your dislikes about Carr ??. I have been taking my truck there since I purchased it there. I have never had one problem. Truck is currently there for new injectors. I usually will insist that Dustin works on my truck only. He is very knowledgeable about the Duramax engine.

DSU Peterbuilt is a good shop to deal with. I bought my Duramax there and they have serviced it twice. I have not had any major problems for them to fix though. They sell and service alot of commercial rigs though. Seem like a very qualified shop. Also a good place to purchase a new rig. Talk to Brian.

Thanks for all the info guys. I currently do not have any major work to be done (I do the maint. stuff myself), however in case of an emergency I wanted to be prepared.......silly me!
