This is killing me. I'm trying to decide on which of these two tires to buy. I tried doing a search to find out as much info as possible on both tires but there isn't much info on the Goodyears, but from what I could find, was positive. They are both similarly priced but I'm more interested in someone who has used, or knows somebody that has had the Goodyears on their trucks and what they think of them. I have MTR's right now and am very happy with them but I would like to go to an AT because I plan on doing a lot of travelling and I don't want to burn out my MTR's just driving on mostly pavement. The Goodyear now comes in a 275/70/17. Any info is appreciated.

I have the new BFG Mud Terrains and love them. I only have 5,000 miles on them and they are only slightly louder than the All-Terrains.

I have no complaints about my MTR's, in fact for a mud terrain I really like them. Since the family wants do more travelling I would like to get some AT's so the ride will be a little quieter and hopefully get longer treadware. Plus the AT's should have less rolling resistance which should give me better mileage.

I have the GY Wrangler AT Silent Armor tires - and I've been quite happy with them. A blast in the winter - though you only get that for a couple days a year in North Van - right ;-) I switched straight from stock tires - so can't compare them to the BFG's, but I'm pretty happy with 'em.

Good luck with your decision.

Check this other thread. Unprompted I suspect.

The trouble with living in North Van is you're either going up a hill or down one so in the snow with all the other "Good Drivers" up here it's a hassle trying to get around. We also had a lot (For North Van) of snow this year. I've noticed that the tread pattern on the Silent Armour's is very similar to the AT Extremes so if the SA's work well it's a good sign that the Extremes would work about the same. Thanks for the link.
