rangervx 03-01-2005, 11:02 AM When I turn off ignition, most times, I get a clunk noise, sounds like something popping into place. Sounds like column area. Is this the steer. intermediate shaft noise I keep seeing? My friends identical truck does it too. Is there a TSB?? and should I get it done anyway?? I don't hear anything abnormal while driving truck. Just wondering about the shaft alot of you got done. There are many posts that say yes the dealer will replace the intermediate shaft and no they won't it just needs to be greased properly. The dealer replaced mine free of charge last week and it doesn't do it anymore.There is a TSB for 01-04 GM trucks on the steering shaft issue.
