Since I'm getting the gauges soon I figured getting a deep pan would make sense. I do tow in the summer a lot and worry about the tran. I had a tranny guy check it out for me. Did a fluid & filter change and inspected the trans. Said everything was fine. Who sells a deep pan?

I take it since I have a 98 I would have a 4L80E tranny? Are there different types of the 4L80E?

B&M, TCI, and others sell deep aluminum pans for the 4L80E, which are all the same AFAIK. At Jegs or Summit, they run about $165-175.00.

I paid $200 for PML's deep heavy cast pan. It's made to become an extension of the trannies frame, so I'd imagine you could set it down on the pan without crunching it.
