I just bought an 05 2500 with the DIC deal. My buddy has an 04 with the same thing but he has a trip odometer for "Business" and "Personal", and he can start and stop both trips independantly from one another. Mine says "Trip A" and "Trip B", and both are always ticking away.

Does anybody know if this is a change on the new trucks, or is it a setting that I can change?

Yeah, GM cheaped out the 05's. You no longer have an instant fuel mileage guage either, just average

You can reset the trip meters separate. Set on trip A and push the knob on top right of dash cluster. It will set to zero and you can leave B alone. I like to use them on long trips , one for in between tanks and one for entire trip. I like the DIC on my 03 better
