J-HEFF 03-01-2005, 12:23 AM Have the ol' predator set at 65 hp right now. Runs awesome, but...if I leave it in sixth gear at 55 mph, then go WOT I get a definate vibration until about 65-70mph...feels like the P.O.S. flywheel. If I put it to the 40hp it doesn't do it near as bad. Anyone else get this vibration?? Thanks all, J-HEFF jon72 03-01-2005, 07:00 AM I think your clutch is SLIPPIN!! jon72 03-01-2005, 07:22 AM Ive felt all kinds of weird things.But it always comes back to flywheel and clutch being JUNK!!!!In my case I overpowered the clutch too many times(in high gear)which caused everything to go south.Its all coming out and going into the junk pile in another month or so. Crawler Hauler 03-01-2005, 10:16 AM My truck did it at exactly the same speeds. I'm completely stock, and it was the flywheel. They replaced it the begining of last month and it's good as new. (Untill the next time). J-HEFF 03-01-2005, 08:59 PM I'm almost positive that it's that damn flywheel. I"ve got about 65,000 miles, and had work done on my flywheel housing, but not the actual flywheel. I lost the stock clutch about a month ago. I've got a good heavy duty one on know that's not supposed to slip unless I go over 425hp. It only makes noise in 5th and 6th gear....mostly in 6th. Stock I don't really notice it, as well as in 40hp mode....anyway, thanks for the responses all, I have a feeling at about the 75,000 mile mark I might be having GM replace a flywheel...I know, everyone is just shocked right?? ):h J-HEFF | ||
