ok im pulling the marine injectors out of my 93 parts truck....not that big of a deal the axle socket i currently owned pulled them all out fine except the one by the steerign column....my socket must be too long as i can get it on but the whole column is then in the way...

Now the 6.5 in my 86 i cant get this same socket on the injectors.....are there different valve covers or something, no room to slide it on.....just wont go on.....the motor is a gm goodwrench(unknown year)......the truck was originally gas......has the 86 belt setup on it (im assuming this all came from the 350)

Other question is do they sell goodwrench 6.5 motors for an 80's style for a replacement or do they give you a 6.2???

well it turns out the 6.5 in my monster truck had 6.2 long injectors in it. Huge PITA to get the socket i had over the injectors......the valve covers seemed to be in the way......the 6.5 injectors went right in......plenty of room.

by the way i had no problems pulling the 6.5 injectors and installing them.....removing the turbo was about 2-3 hours and then pulling them was only about 25 minutes.....i did have to jack up the drivers side of the motor to get the one thats behind the steering column.

Theres no way this should take 6-8 hours like i read somewhere.....putting the turbo back in should take half the time it took to remove it.

Cant wait to drive it, these 6.5 injectors tested at 145 bar and the 6.2 injectors were shot and testes at 110 bar. I thought i had power before!!!! Cant wait to drive it but i still cant get an answer on the steering column bearing....

I robbed the shaft of the 93 so i dont need to fix the slide boot anymore just need to know what do to with the bearing......
